History
E-Networks Inc. founded in 2003, has been in operation since 2004starting off only with offering internet service and has been providing communication services to large corporations, small businesses and more recently residential users.
In 2007, E-Networks introduced their cable TV with only 12 available channels. This later expanded to 24 channels and as the years progressed the total number of channels available to date stands at 62. This caters for all viewers’ taste and demands.
On March 17, 2010, E-Networks Inc.completed the multimillion-dollar acquisition of Broadband Inc. and Freedom Online Wireless Internet Service Providers.Broadband Inc. started its operations in 2002 and has been providing wireless internet services to thousands of users nationwide over the years.Broadband has also built a large portfolio of Small Satellite services providing internet access and voice services to miners and companies in the remote areas of Guyana.
E-Networks Inc. launched its brand new 4th Generation WiMAX Network to the public on the 6th December 2010.This is a game changer in Guyana as this technology offers improved distance and penetration and also caters to the greater content and larger file sizes seen on today’s internet. This being one of the few wireless mediums described as true “4th Generation” places Guyana on the forefront of the latest technology available.
In just seven short years of existence, E-Networks Inc. has steadily progressed to become one of the leading institutions in the Information Technology Sector.
E-Networks also offer services including Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) among others. This allows for the transmission of voice traffic over the internet drastically reducing the communication costs while maintaining good voice quality.
